Founded in 2011, Copiah County Animal Shelter, Inc. is a 501c(3) nonprofit, volunteer-led, limited intake animal welfare organization, providing shelter and medical care to homeless, unwanted, and abandoned animals in Copiah County, Mississippi (MS), and surrounding communities, until permanent placement in loving homes can be arranged through pet adoption. Copiah Animal Shelter is "community-sustained" and relies solely on the generosity of individuals and businesses. CAS receives NO city or county funding. Our loyal donors and supporters are vital to our success and the ability to provide the best possible care for the animals.
