3/2022: Congratulations to 2022-2023 TOMATO POOCH "TANK". We will bid farewell with much appreciation to our current fabulous Tomato Pooch, NUGGET. Nugget may be diminutive in size but leaves big paw prints to fill! Tank will take over as the new Copiah Animal Shelter Tomato Pooch at the 2022 Crystal Springs, MS Tomato Festival, the last weekend in June. And congratulations to SUPERFAN Category Winner "LILY". We appreciate all who entered their pets in the 2022 Tomato Pooch & Superfan Virtual Pageant and voted to raise funds for animal care at CAS!

1/2022: In 2021, Copiah Animal Shelter sheltered and cared for, spayed/neutered, and found homes for 244 local area animals that needed our help! We also helped more animals in other ways for pets that didn't come into the Shelter like lost/found, rehoming.
10/2021: CONGRATULATIONS to GAS GRILL RAFFLE FUNDRAISER WINNER - LYNN KEES!
And THANK YOU to ALL who donated to enter. Proceeds go to animal care at Copiah Animal Shelter.
9/2021: Through August, Copiah Animal Shelter has sheltered and cared for 199 pets that needed our help, had no place to go. 199 - that's a lot of dogs and cats for a small, volunteer-led Shelter! Yes, we have part-time paid animal caretakers. CAS pets are vaccinated, spayed/neutered and more. Then adopted to a loving home! CAS receives NO city or county funding. 8/2021: Copiah Animal Shelter's STAR WARS GALA Fundraiser was held August 7, 2021. An evening of fun while doing good - raising money for the animals at CAS! 7/2021: Copiah Animal Shelter celebrates our 10 Year Anniversary! Saving more than 2,100 animals lives! 😺🐶 A couple of thousand people are happy, too, with the addition of a loving pet to their family. CAS Spay/Neuter efforts have also reduced future homeless pet overpopulation by THOUSANDS !
